The weirdness of 'birth' days

What's the point of birthdays, anyway? Like, "Look, yay! You survived another year!"

Why don't we celebrate more things like hard-working and accomplishments?

Just something I've been thinking about.


*General Note: I do not find overlarge birthday celebrations enjoyable. I'd rather have a cup of hot chocolate and a giggle with my dearest friends instead. Let's lose the drama; bring back the meaningful.
